Family Resources
Families of members of the university community also have access to support and guidance available through various programs.
This center in the Kansas Union can provide information on gender-related and equality issues as well as confidential consultation to faculty, staff and community members.
The center provides child care for children of KU students, faculty and staff. Its programs include full-time care for children ages 1-5 and after-school sessions kindergarteners and elementary-schoolchildren through sixth grade.
Faculty, staff and their families may seek consultations and treatment in individual or group formats.
Although the health center treats only students, faculty and staff may use some of its service. The pharmacy will fill prescriptions from private physicians; laboratory, X-ray and physical therapy services are available with referral; and the Immunization Clinic can meet international travel requirements.
