The centers' mission is to address the state needs with educational programs
and health-care services in partnership with KUMC academic departments, health-care
agencies and other organizations committed to improving the well-being of the
people of Kansas.
The Center for Community Outreach aspires to provide students with a foundation for life-long service by challenging, educating, and empowering them to meet community needs through volunteering.
The center is dedicated to providing excellent clinical and preventive medical care as well as educational and research programs directed at understanding the relationships between human health and hazards in the environment.
Kansas citizens and health professionals are able to receive the best available care and education in the most professional, timely and convenient manner through this center. Among the services offered are clinical consultations via interactive televideo (ITV), live presentations of continuing and community education events via ITV, technical and research consultation and video production.

research university, sophisticated technology for distance learning, workforce
development for a robust economy and richly diverse opportunities for lifelong
learners.
The clinic provides affordable, high-quality mental health care to the children and families of Lawrence and the area. It is a training clinic for the doctoral students of the Clinical Child Psychology program at the University.
Programs to prepare students for careers in allied health industries and public schools offer such classes as swimming, tennis and soccer for children and lifestyle management for adults.
This free clinic, operated by medical students under the supervision of an attending licensed physician, is offered weekly near the Medical Center campus in Kansas City, Kan. It strives to address the language, cultural and financial barriers to health-care access in Wyandotte County by providing primary-care services and preventive education.
